Tasmanian Medical Volunteers

Tasmanian Medical Volunteers is a charity operated by Hobart Eye Surgeons for supporting projects in developing countries.

Tasmanian Medical Volunteers is supported by many individuals and charities in Hobart and to date has supported the education of students from East Timor at the University of Tasmania. Some of these students have been doing their Bachelors while others have been pursuing a PhD.

Tasmanian Medical Volunteers have also supported the East Timor Eye Program by providing material for carrying out sight-restoring surgery as well as contributing to the Post Graduate Diploma in Ophthalmology Training Program.
